Q. How do I order the cake I would like?
Once you decided on the size and design, you can order in various ways. You can call me directly, you can email me or you can order online via my web site.
Q. Are all cakes individual to the customers needs?
Absolutely, your cake is made to your specifications. It is important that you are 100% happy with your decision as the design is exactly how your cake will arrive to you.
Q. How do I pay?
You can pay in various ways. You can pay by credit card, or if you prefer to send a cheque or postal order, you can do that also.
Q. When do I have to pay?
There is a non-refundable deposit of 50% to be paid at point of order. The remaining balance is payable upon collection or delivery of the cake, except in the case of wedding cakes where the balance is payable two weeks prior to the wedding day.
Q. Can you deliver my cake?
Certainly. We can delivery your cake to UK areas only. If you would like your cake delivering to an area that is not local to my area, there are charges that will be incurred to cover the delivery cost. I am based in the Stockport, Cheshire area, so I would have to charge the following delivery costs for certain areas:
- London £175
- Bristol £145
- Newcastle £145
- Birmingham £140
- Wales £125
- Liverpool £100
- Leeds £95
Q. What occasions do you cater for?
I can make a cake for whatever occasion you are celebrating. You can see a variety of cakes on my website, but naturally if there is a cake you need and is not listed, we can cater for you.
Q. Do you do any size cake?
I can provide any size and any shape cake you require for your occasion. On my prices page, you can see the range of sizes I can make.
Q. Can you help with ideas if I need help?
It would be my pleasure to help with ideas if you feel you need it. When you need a cake for a special occasion, it is not always easy to decide on a specific design. I have made many different types and designs of cakes, and would enjoy discussing your needs.
Q. How many people do your cakes feed?
The below table is an average guide to the number of slices you can get from any one cake:
| Number of Slices | ||
|---|---|---|
| Size | Fruit | Sponge |
| 6" | 28 | 14 |
| 7" | 40 | 20 |
| 8" | 50 | 25 |
| 9" | 66 | 33 |
| 10" | 78 | 39 |

Q. How can I contact you?
You can ring me on 07890909519 which is my mobile number, which is available between 5pm and 10pm during the week and all day on weekends. You can email me at debbie [at] weddingbakes [dot] co.uk - Obviously replace the necessary symbols.
Or you can use the General Enquiry form on the website.
Q. Is everything on the cake edible?
This is something we would discuss when we talk about your design. If you wanted a themed cake which involved non-edible items, we would provide notification of that.
Q. How much notice do I need to give before I need my cake?
If you require a fruit wedding cake, I prefer to have three months notice so that I can rest the cake. However, two weeks notice in general is adequate time.
Q. Who makes the cakes?
I make all the cakes. I work alone, and all the moulds and craft items are created by me. If cake toppers are required which are porcelain or plastic, I contact suppliers to provide them for me.
