Terms and Conditions
If you choose to order your cake from Wedding Bakes, orders should be placed at least 2 weeks before your required delivery date. We need at least 4-6 weeks notice for wedding cake orders. If more notice is available, please tell us as soon as the details have been agreed.
It is important that the design is finalised and agreed upon. If there are spelling errors or design queries at the point of delivery, there would not be adequate time to make corrections. If there are any queries with the cake design, please ensure this is before we finalise the details.
You can chose for us to deliver the cake, however prior agreement will be required to the payment of the charge dependable on where you are located. The charge of delivery will be payable upon delivery.
We are happy to set the cake up at the venue if you require. It is required that you source the appropriate stand. Most venues have silver or bronze cake stands.
A non refundable deposit of 50% is taken at the time of order. Balance of payment is due when cake is collected or delivered except in the case of wedding cakes where the outstanding balance has to be paid 2 weeks prior to the wedding date. Payment can be made via cheque, postal order or PayPal (All major credit and debit cards).
You are required to give one weeks notice if you want to cancel a cake. Depending on the circumstances and time and expense we have invested to that point any monies paid may not be refundable for any cancellations within 7 days of the delivery date you will have to pay the full amount for the cake whether or not you take delivery of it.
In exceptional circumstances (such as a family emergency) we reserve the right to cancel a cake at any time. No charges will be made, and all money paid will be refunded but no compensation will be payable should this occur.
Cakes should be inspected on receipt to ensure that they were not damaged in transit. We cannot be liable for any damage to the cake if courier service is the chosen method of delivery Please call us immediately if there is a problem. We are happy to help with ideas for the design of the cake; however, we encourage you to make the final decision as to how the final design should appear.
